Amy Winehouse has died at her home in Camden, North London, this afternoon.
The 27 year old singer was found at the property by the London Ambulance Service a little before 4pm this afternoon. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are carrying out inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Winehouse’s death which is currently being treated as unexplained.
Throughout her career Winehouse’s battles with alcohol and substance abuse have been well documented in the media. She recently cancelled her European tour after being booed by concert goers in the Serbian capital of Belgrade when she appeared to be too drunk to perform for the opening night.
